RNA 2026 Pre-Meeting Workshop
Tuesday, May 26th from 1:30 pm – 4:30 pm
“The Long View: Long-Read RNA Sequencing, Tools, and Live Demonstration”
Long-read sequencing technologies are transforming RNA biology by enabling full-length transcript characterization, isoform resolution, and direct RNA analysis without amplification.
This pre-meeting workshop will introduce long-read approaches for both direct RNA and cDNA sequencing using the Oxford Nanopore platform, highlighting key advantages for transcriptomics and RNA modification studies. The session will feature a scientific presentation by an invited keynote speaker (TBD) and include a hands-on flow cell–loading demonstration, giving attendees the opportunity to experience the technology in action.
The workshop will conclude with a data analysis module that provides practical guidance on analytical tools and workflows for long-read datasets—from base calling to transcript annotation and quantification.
Registration for this pre-meeting professional development training event is required and will be available when you register for your place at RNA 2026!
