Those who wish to submit an abstract should first register to attend the meeting. Immediately after completing your registration, you will receive a confirming email with a link to the abstract submission site. If you do not receive this email within minutes of registering, first check your spam/junk folder then contact us to resend it.

RNA 2021 Inclusion Initiative

The RNA Society is excited to announce a special program directed at enhancing the accessibility of RNA 2021 to RNA scientists who otherwise might not be able to participate in this meeting. This program will provide free meeting registration to individuals who are current RNA Society members and who belong to at least two of the following categories:

  1. RNA 2021 would be the first meeting of the RNA Society that you have attended.
  2. The primary location where you carry out your research is NOT in the USA, Canada or Western Europe.
  3. You are a member of an under-represented group of scientists that include marginalized racial, ethnic or gender identify groups, those having disability or impairment, and/or from a disadvantaged background.*
  4. You study/teach RNA science in an academic environment not supported by outside research funding.

*Please note that being female does not alone qualify as a minority or under-represented group within the RNA research community and, therefore, is not a criterion for eligibility in the RNA 2021 Inclusion Initiative.

To receive free registration in this program, please join the RNA Society as a member for 2021 and provide answers to the questions above on the registration form.

Available funds for the RNA 2021 Inclusion Initiative are limited, so if you have attended past annual meetings of the RNA Society or are associated within a lab or institution that has resources available to cover meeting registration costs, the registration fee will be payable at the time of registration.

Please pay in full at the time of registration in one of the following ways. Payment for presenters must be received by April 15, 2021 to ensure your place in the program.

Wire Transfer: Instructions for wire transfer will be sent by email within 24 hours of your registration being received with wire payment indicated.  All bank and transfer fees must be paid by the sender – the net amount received by RNA 2021/Simple Meetings must equal the full registration fee.


Notification should be sent in writing to

  • Cancel on or before May 1, 2021 – 50% of payment will be refunded
  • Cancel after May 1, 2021 – not refundable
