Poster
Information

Poster sessions will take place in Pauley Ballroom, on the 3rd floor of MLK Student Union, directly across the plaza from Zellerbach Auditorium. Poster sessions are scheduled on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday evenings and each poster will be displayed only ONE presentation day and must conform to the published program schedule or addendum. Posters can be installed on the day of presentation at any time the room is open and must be removed at the end of the session. Any posters left overnight will be removed by university staff and risk being lost or destroyed. Presenters should plan to keep possession of their poster before it is installed on the board, as poster storage will not be available.

Every topic will be divided equally between the three sessions, enabling presenters to visit 2/3 of the other posters in their topic on the nights they are not presenting.

Poster boards will vary in size, and you will not know in advance what size board you are assigned. To be sure that your poster fits on any board, the maximum size is 4 feet x 4 feet (1.2 meters x 1.2 meters).

Boards will be numbered in advance and mounting pins will be provided.

Pauley Ballroom will be open for poster installation and browsing during these hours:

Wednesday:  13:30 to 20:00

Thursday:  08:00 to 10:45, 12:30 to 14:00, 16:00 to 20:00

Friday:  08:00 to 10:45, 12:30 to 14:00, 16:45 to 20:00

Pauley Ballroom will not be accessible before and between these open hours.

Speaker Information

Oral presenters refer to the “Details about your talk” email sent on April 8 to know the precise length of your talk. Practice in advance to ensure that you stay within your allotted time.

PC laptops and MacBooks will be provided in the session rooms. Files (PowerPoint or PDF) should be saved on a USB flash memory drive to be loaded onto the computers provided.

Speakers can load slides onto the presentation laptop in their assigned room any time that the room is open and a session is not in process. This includes immediately before and after sessions for any of the rooms, and also during breaks and lunch for Zellerbach Auditorium. Speakers who are presenting in the next scheduled session will have priority.

All speakers must have loaded their slides a minimum of 30 minutes prior to the start of their session. The conference schedule does not allow time during the sessions to switch laptops, therefore speakers may not use their own laptops and must use the equipment provided. Staff will be available to assist speakers with loading their files onto the laptops.
