Registration is now open. Those who wish to submit an abstract must first register to attend the conference. The deadline for submission of oral abstracts is 28 February, 2020. The deadline for poster-only abstracts is 15 March, 2020.  Immediately after completing your registration, you will receive a confirming email containing a link to the abstract submission site. If you do not receive this email within a few minutes of registering, please check your junk folder and contact us to resend it if you haven’t received the email.

Plan ahead!
Consider the length of time your institution takes to pay invoices. A purchase order number is not considered payment. The actual funds by check, wire transfer or credit card must be RECEIVED by 15 April, 2020 for the early discount to apply and to keep your abstract in the program. If funds are received after 15 April, 2020 you will owe the late registration fee, even if you completed online registration prior to 1 April.

Registration Fees – payable only in U.S. Dollars
Meals are integral to the RNA meeting for many reasons including valuable networking opportunities, access to posters for unstructured viewing, and important social and business meetings that take place during meals. All lunches and dinners are included in the full registration fee, except Thursday dinner which is a free night for everyone. The option of fewer meals excludes 2 lunches (Wednesday & Saturday) and 2 dinners (Wednesday & Friday). Those who choose “fewer meals” registration will be on their own to seek those meals elsewhere. Vancouver offers many casual dining opportunities within 5-10 minutes walking of the Convention Centre.

Include your RNA Society membership number on the registration form to receive the member rate.

All conference registration fees include:

  • access to all sessions, workshops, poster sessions and coffee breaks
  • conference materials including program/abstract book (print and electronic versions)
  • opening reception on Tuesday evening
  • closing dinner on Saturday night
  • lunches on Thursday and Friday

“Full registration” also includes:

  • lunches on Wednesday and Saturday
  • dinners on Wednesday and Friday

“Fewer meals” registration excludes lunch & dinner Wednesday, dinner Friday, lunch Saturday

Group Registration Incentive
Labs from outside North America with 3 or more paid attendees including the lab head may be entitled to a refund of one registration. More details can be found HERE.

The conference must receive notification of cancellation in writing by email at

Cancellations may be partially refunded subject to the following cancellation fees:

  • Cancellation received by 15 April, 2020 – fully refunded
  • Cancellation received between 16 April and 30 April, 2020 – forfeit $250
  • Cancellation received on or after 1 May, 2020 – not refundable

If the meeting is cancelled at any time by the RNA 2020 organizers, registration fees will be fully refunded without penalty.

Payment must be made in full at the time of registration in one of the following ways. Your registration will be acknowledged by email, but is not confirmed until full payment is received.

Credit Card: We will accept Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Diners Club or Discover. Please note that the merchant identified on your credit card billing statement will be “Simple Meetings”.

Wire Transfer: Instructions for wire transfer can be found on the invoice after registration is completed.   The net amount transferred after all bank fees are deducted must equal the total registration fees. Funds must be received by 15 April, 2020 or your abstract may be removed from the program.

On-site Registration
Registration and check-in will open at Vancouver Convention Center beginning at 14:00 Tuesday, 26 May, 2020 and will continue every day during conference sessions.

Start with your email address, and  click the link “Email not found, register?” to create a password. Use the name and email address of the actual attendee when creating this account (if you are registering for somebody else, do not use your own name or email address.)
